A lot has happened...

since last I posted...

My last post was in March...shortly after our beautiful Miss Daisy passed away...

She left a big hole in our hearts...
But life goes on...

Since then a new furry family member has joined us...

Meet Kelly...
We got her from the Forever Friends Rescue in Ventura, and when
we got her in June, she was 16 months old...

Kelly has brought lot's of laughter and smiles...
Even throughout our recent move across town...

At least for us humans...
The feline members of the family aren't too sure about her!!!

Thank you Trijinie and EastCoastLife!!! We were very sad at Daisy's passing, but she lived a long and happy life which is all we can ask of our animals....and yes...
Miss Kelly has brought humor and smiles by the truckload!!! Although Sadie and Cleo won't admit it!!!

What a lovely gift of Miss Kelly. Takes care of that hole in one's heart after the passing of a beloved pet!

That sure is one sweet new member to have added. As for the cats, they'll give in soon enough.

How nice to have Miss Kelly now! She is a pretty one! It is great that you were able to rescue a Golden, they are wonderful dogs. And I'm sure she helps to ease a little of the pain of losing your Miss Daisy.

Thank you Kate! Yes she's given us a lot of love and laughter...great gifts indeed!!!

Thank you KleinsteMotte!!! The cats tolerate her, but not particularly interested in becoming buddies with her!!!

Thank you Eileeninmd...She's a delight! And has a lovely, mellow Golden Retriever personality....

It's sad to lose a pet! The problem is we all survive our pets, in most cases. We have lost our dear cats and one dog. I always cried.

I've had dogs and cats all my life and it never gets easier...fortunately, most of my animals have lived long and healthy lives so when they left us, it was generally time...Thanks for your sentiments ReaderWil!
