Cleo and Sadie's first experience with snow!!!

Cleo and Sadie lived in Southern California their whole lives, until July when we moved to the beautiful town of Mammoth Lakes, in the Eastern Sierras of California.   Need I say it never snows in Southern California???  Well, actually, in the LA basin???  They were used to sunshine, occasional rain, and more sunshine...and a big back yard.
When we moved to Mammoth, they learned that their outdoor area was now relegated to the deck, no patio or grass...
Well, it snowed two days ago...I let them out on the deck for their first experience of snow...

Sadie kept licking her paws...but being the adventurous, curious cat that she is, she kept exploring...

Well, the sun came out, and snow began to melt...

Where'd that white stuff go???

There's gotta be a first for everything. Love the last photo ... great expression!

There is really nothing cuter than cats discovering snow for the first time. When I lived in New Hampshire and we'd have adopted/rescued more kittens over the summer, it was such a treat to see them bouncing through the snow the first time we let them out each winter. So hilarious!

The snow is much deeper now, so they're content to stay inside and watch it through the windows!!!
